Cathedral Quiet Morning, Saturday 25 August at 10am

At the next cathedral quiet morning we will explore the Carmelite tradition. The spirituality of the Carmelite order is one of the most intense within the Christian spiritual tradition; seeking to stand before the face of the living God and be made into instruments of God’s transforming love in the church and in the world. We will look at the writings of some of the leading figures in the tradition from the sixteenth century, St John of the Cross and St Teresa of Avila, as well as two twentieth century Carmelite writers, Titus Brandsma and Edith Stein. Contact: Fr James, dean@newcastlecathedral.org.au 4929 2052.
