Friday 6 August is the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. On this day each year, Christians for Peace hold an ecumenical service of prayer for world peace in the grounds of the Cathedral. The service commences at 6.45am and is followed by a simple breakfast in the meeting room. All are welcome.

Ronald Woodcock concert series
Local violinist of international renown, Ronald Woodcock, will present Bach’s complete Violin Sonatas and Partitas over a series of three concerts on Sunday 1, 8 and 15 August at 3pm. Woodcock will also offer insight into the spiritual, religious and philosophical significance of these master works. Bruce Mathiske, guitar virtuoso, performs in the magnificent Christ Church Cathedral this Saturday at 8pm.
