The first of our new series of Mission Lunches will be held on Tuesday 20 July at 12.00pm at Monet’s Restaurant. These lunches are designed to support the work of Samaritans and to build fellowship within the congregation in the context of supporting the missionary work of the church. The cost of the lunch is $20 pp. For more information please speak to our Missions’ Secretary, Jill Cameron or the Dean. A sign-up sheet will be available at the beginning of July.

Flower Festival Memorials
Preparations for the 2010 Flower Festival are well under way. This year’s theme is So, Rejoice! Many of us take the opportunity to place memorial flowers in remembrance of those who have died. If you wish to arrange a memorial, the cost begins at $130. Please send details of the memorial to PO Box 221, Newcastle 2300 with a cheque payable to Christ Church Cathedral. Bishop Kay Goldsworthy preaching at Evensong 6pm Sunday 13 June
Bishop Kay Goldsworthy, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Perth and the first woman consecrated to the episcopate in the Anglican Church of Australia will be preaching at 6pm choral evensong at the cathedral this Sunday 13 June 2010.
