Cathedral Quiet Morning, Saturday 22 September at 10am
The next Cathedral Quiet Morning will be held on Saturday 22 September beginning at 10am in the St Michael Chapel and concluding, after the eucharist, at 1pm. The theme of the September Quiet Morning is The Uncluttered Heart. We will be exploring how and where we make space for God in our lives.
Lord, help me now to unclutter my life, to organise myself in the direction of simplicity. Teach me to listen to my heart; to welcome change, instead of fearing it.
I give you, Lord, these stirrings inside me.
I give you my discontent. I give you my restlessness.
I give you my doubt. I give you my despair.
I give you all the longings I hold inside.
Help me to listen to these signs of change, of growth; help me to listen seriously and follow where they lead through the breathtaking empty space of an open door.
