Thank you from the Dean

Over 2,500 worshipped with us at the Cathedral at Christmas and a large number visited the Cathedral on the Public Holidays after Christmas. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the wonderful and uplifting round of services in which we gave thanks for the Incarnation of Our Lord this year:

  • Peter, Keith, James and the cathedral choirs who provided unfailingly wonderful music at all the services. The Choir are on break and return to sing services on Sunday 30 January.
  • Bishop Brian, Father Mark, Father George and Father Timothy for leading our worship alongside the Dean.
  • our hard-working vergers Robert and Margaret.
  • all who acted as sidespersons and as welcomers at the Cathedral Shop.
  • the servers, particularly those who served at consecutive services.
  • Suzanne Evans who erected and decorated the Christmas trees and who created such beautiful flower displays.
  • all who contributed presents ‘for the Cathedral’.
