Dinner and Trivia Night Saturday 12 October 2013

Come along to a fun-filled evening of trivia and fellowship hosted by the
Cathedral Choir as a fundraiser for the Friends of Newcastle Cathedral
Music. Bring drinks and a main or dessert dish to share for a pot luck
dinner. The evening will begin at 6pm in the Cathedral Hall. Cost:
$10/person or $100/table of ten. Many prizes and raffles to be won!

Organ Recital 23 February 2013

On Saturday, February 23 at 5:30pm, join us for an organ recital by German organist, Hans Hielscher (organist of the Lutheran Cathedral, Nassau) featuring works by Rheinberger, Rawsthorne, Salomé, and the performer’s own arrangement of Gershwin’s ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue. (Tickets $10, under 18’s free). The Cathedral houses one of Australia’s finest Cathedral organs. Join us to hear its many splendid colours in a concert environment.

Today is Father James’ final Sunday at the Cathedral. Father James will be on leave before taking up the Wardenship of St John’s College, University of Queensland in February.
Father David Cole will be the Sub-Dean of the Cathedral from Saturday 2 February 2013.
